Joe McDonald, MD
Dr. McDonald obtained his BS in biology and chemistry at Baker University, while playing football, in Baldwin City, KS. He then earned an MA in Microbiology/Immunology at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS. He was able to publish and present his work. He then obtained an MD at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City. While in medical school and residency, he served as Chair of the AMA Medical Student Section, AMA board member, and Council on Medical Education member, among other positions. He then completed an internal medicine residency at KU MED, followed by a year as Chief Resident. Following this, Dr. McDonald completed two out of three years of a Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship at the Washington Hospital Center. He then worked locum tenens as a hospitalist at several hospitals and still works as a part-time hospitalist at Sibley Memorial Hospital. For the past several years he has operated a solo-practice internal medicine office that sees about 1/3rd the number of patients that a normal practice does. He has focused on the doctor/patient relationship and spends large amounts of time with his patients.
The search for balance that has led Dr. McDonald into opening his medispa. After spending years working to help people feel better mentally and physically, he realized that he was lacking in the ability to really help people externally. He realized that our external selves were critical to our over-all perception and feeling of well-being. This led him to seek training in the various methods of helping people improve their outer appearance to help balance with progress made mentally and medically.
Family Nurse Practitioner
Deidre Fisher obtained her Bachelors in Nursing from University of Delaware and has 2 Master degrees- One in Human Services from Chestnut Hill College in PA and a Masters in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Simmons College in MA. Deidre has worked in a variety of Medical Fields to include Women’s health, Pediatrics and Adults in nursing roles ranging from clinical settings, administrative and educational. Deidre has been in the Aesthetic medicine field for the past several years and loves to customize treatments for all her clients.
As a nurse for 23 years working in a variety of fields, I understand how important first impressions and feeling confident is to our overall health and wellbeing. Aesthetic medicine has given me the ability to help everyone feel better! Whether it is to save time and not have to shave, to having confidence to face the world without makeup, I have a solution for you. My goal is to help you feel your best, no matter your concern.
